Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt- 427 SOHC, 600+ hp
A990 Dodge Coronet- 426 Race Hemi, altered wheelbase
Both cars could run sub 11 second 1/4 miles. Both are stripped down. Thunderbolts apparently run into the 9s on modern drag radials... in factory trim from 1965! Some more trivia, the a990 lent to people calling factory dragsters "funny cars", because of the short wheelbase. Thunderbolts are nicknamed "hemi hunters".

Thunderbolt, because Cammer. Nothing against the Hemi, but their comparative ubiquity just doesn't hold a candle to the allure of the Cammer.

I am still planning on cloning one of those. I always keep an eye out for a good deal on 426ci Hemis and 68 Darts. Absolutely my favorite muscle car ever.

Yeah, I picked the Thunderbolt. I prefer Mopars and GM's over Fords. The 426 Hemi of course is the drag racing standard, but that Thunderbolt is very, very special.
